As a foundation, we believe that the Bible is the revealed Word and Will of God. We further believe that the Scriptures convey God’s heart to man, and in fact put us in contact with God. The church as seen in the Bible did not have creeds or other formal statements of beliefs. However, the book of Ephesians contains a listing of some of the great truths we hold from God's Word.
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
We believe that all who have confessed Jesus as their lord and believed that God raised him from the dead are Christians and members of God’s church. This church is one body, made up of Jews and Gentiles and consisting of all Christians regardless of denomination, with each individual member having a vital role to play in the life of the church.
We believe that each Christian is born again of God’s spirit, the very nature of God. Each believer can then operate the nine manifestations of the spirit, which are speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, workings of miracles and gifts of healings.
We believe that in Christ alone man has hope. This hope touches every part of life, but is centered upon the hope of eternal life and fellowship with God. For the Christian this will become a living reality at the time of Christ’s return to gather the church. No one knows the day or the hour of his return, but we have the sure promise of God that Christ will return and the dead in Christ shall be raised and then those that are alive will be changed and all will meet him in the air.
We believe that God has made Jesus both lord and Christ, and that Jesus Christ is the head of church and second only to God in authority and majesty. Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised victorious by God three days later, and by virtue of his sacrifice he is able to save all who come to God through him.
Although there are numerous philosophies and religions that men and women choose to believe, the Bible contains what God would have us to believe. It shows us what to believe about God, about Jesus Christ and about our relationship to God through Jesus Christ. We place our faith in God and His word, which we consider to be our only standard for what to believe and how to live.
We believe that to the Christian Church there is the one baptism (cleansing) by holy spirit at the time of the new birth. This baptism is in the name of Jesus Christ and the cleansing is through the outpouring of God’s holy spirit.
We believe in One God, the creator of heaven and earth and the Father of the lord Jesus Christ. God has revealed Himself to us through His Word, the Bible. It is God alone who deserves our worship, praise, love and devotion. God is the spiritual Father of all those who are born again of His spirit.
